Polar 3D’s Mission is to introduce and expand 3D printing in education to inspire students to think like entrepreneurs. Founded in September of 2013, they developed a revolutionary polar-coordinate based desktop 3D printer, the only one on the market. With a focus on education, they knew they needed more than just a printer, and have also developed the Polar Cloud – an online social platform that encourages collaboration between students and educators, and allows users to manage multiple printers at once. Polar 3D reached out to Mark Leisher Productions and asked us to become their all-in-one agency; content producers, brand developers, marketers, and more.
Since September of 2014, MLP has worked with schools to produce video case studies of the Polar 3D Printer in use, captured high-res product shots of the printer, worked with animation house Three of Change to produce an animated video explaining 3D printing in layman’s terms, created logos for Polar 3D’s further initiatives, created a new website for Polar 3D, and taken over management of their social media accounts.
The work increased in December, as we helped Polar 3D prepare for their official launch at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Mark Leisher Productions created backing banners for the convention booth, developed a specifications brochure to hand out to attendees, planned the booth layout, and made all the arrangements with the convention center and their vendors. The hard work paid off – the Polar 3D Printer was a smash hit in the TCT 3D Printing Alley, and stood out from the crowd of 57 other 3D printing companies. During the 4 day show, Polar 3D was featured in 3DPrint.com, TCT Magazine, and CNET.
Polar 3D has a revolutionary product and a great mission. They really are printing the future.
